Sergio Garcia takes the top 10 spot on the worst PGA Tour scores ever carded

We have all had our bad days/holes on the golf course, but fortunately most of us have probably not achieved doing it in front of world-televised-audience like Sergio Garcia managed to do when he carded a 12 on a par 4 hole (the third hole).

Sergio Garcia accomplishment got him into the top 10 list of worst single-hole scores ever carded on the PGA Tour, "luckily" for him he only got the 10th place.

Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.

This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.

What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)

Course of the week - Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club

This week course of the week on golfplanet.net blog site is the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club which is a privately owned and run country club, located on the Clear Water Bay Peninsula in Sai Kung Hong Kong. The course was officially inaugurated on 16th December 1982. Although the grand vision to build this three in one facility comprising country club, golf and marina facilities actually originated in the mid-1960s, it took a decade to complete feasibility studies and file statutory applications before the vision could be realized.

Rory Mcllroy from Northern Ireland took some magnificent shots from the helipad of Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. The Helipad is 215meters above the beach in Dubai. Mcllroy is not the first athletic to be on top Burj Al Arab hotel; Andre Agassi and Roger Federer competed in Tennis on the helipad (video below)

A strange event happened in the final round of Frys.com Open-tournament @ Corde Vale golf course when one of the audience jumped in front of the others audiences when Tiger was getting ready to putt. He came yelling Tigers name and then he threw a hot dog towards Tiger. Tiger was lucky since the sausage never came close to hitting him. The over excited viewer was then arrested.

Yesterday a new list of PGA Tour Money list in golf was published and this time Tiger Woods are not in the top 50 list. Tiger has been in the top 50 list for the last 778 weeks or since 13.Okt 1996 when he was number 61. On the new list Tiger is number 124 with total $629,863.00 in 21 events.

The Solheim Cup 2011 will be held on the magnificent Killeen Castle golf course which is designed by the great golfer and legend Jack Nicklaus. The Solheim Cup is a golf tournament for professional women golfers similar to the Ryder Cup with teams representing Europe and United States. The cup is played over three days. There have been 28 matches—eight foursomes, eight four-balls and 12 singles on the final day which is similar to The Ryder Cup system.

In my profile you can see that I have marked two courses as my favorite courses. One of them is my home course The Westman Island golf course and the other is a golf course that I played when I was visiting Nashville 1999. Then I went golfing on Gaylord Springs at Opryland golf course.
